In our Lofoten Islands Photo Tour, we spend a week photographing the best landscape the islands have to offer.

Norway’s Lofoten Islands are a near dreamlike landscape of rugged mountain peaks rising directly from the deep blue sea.
Located 200 kilometers north of the arctic circle, Lofoten is a true land of the midnight sun, where it will circle the summer sky without setting – or not rise at all during the dark months of winter.

With the northern lights dancing over the islands from September to April and the temperate currents of the gulf stream softening the deep freeze of the Arctic, Lofoten has become a coveted winter photography destination in recent years. And beyond the landscape, the coast of Lofoten is lined with scenic fishing villages and their traditional Rorbu cabins, often perilously situated on the rocky shoreline.

DAY 1 - 30 Jan. 2020

Meeting with participants at Harstad / Narvik Airport, Evenes.
We move to the hotel (standard double room with breakfast included).
If we are lucky, we will try to take pictures to the Northern Lights near this area.

DAY 2 - 31 Jan. 2020

After breakfast departure to Leknes, we will definitely stop for the sunrise at Henningsvaer and on the way to Lekness there are other stops in Gimsoya area.
Arrival in the afternoon in Leknes, accommodation in an big apartment (4 bedrooms + sofa). Possibility to go to the supermarket to buy something to eat for the next days.
At sunset we will move to the beaches located northwest of Leknes, Uttakleiv Beach and Haukland Beach. Also in this area we will try to shoot the Northern Lights.
Overnight near Leknes, where we will stay for 3 nights.

DAY 3/4 - 1/2 Feb. 2020

Having the apartment in a strategic area in these 2 days we will visit all the most famous beaches of Lofoten.
We will have the opportunity to return to Uttakleiv Beach and Haukland Beach, we will also able to shoot in Vareid, Flakstad, Ramber and Fredvang.
In these days we are going to visit also Nusfjord, and will take some time to visit the Storvatnet lake.
All this area is extremely photogenic, at any time of the day, including Northern Lights.

DAY 5/6 - 3/4 Feb. 2020

The fifth day there will be the last sunrise in the Leknes area, and then we will move to the south for the next 2 days.
In these two days we will focus more on photographing and visiting the villages of fishermen, we will visit Reine, Hamnoy, Sacrisoya and also A, the city with the shortest name in the world!
These places are all quite comfortable to reach, so it is not excluded that we can go back to Fredvang or Flakstad for some further shots, especially in the case of aurora borealis.
Overnight near Reine.

DAY 7 - 5 Feb. 2020

Breakfast, sunrise in Reine area and departure to the north.
During this day we will redo the road to the north, we will have a chance to review some of the places already seen during the trip and why not, stop again.
As you can imagine the weather in Norway varies very quickly, so this will be the day that will allow us to review and recover locations that we may have seen previously, but with adverse weather.
We will be able to shoot both at sunset and in the night, hoping to be able to photograph the Northern Lights even in this last night!
The overnight stay will be in a hotel near Evenes.

DAY 8 - 6 Feb. 2020
